Make the Most of Your Eyes

You can wear many eye make-up shades, but that doesn’t mean you are doing your eyes any favors. It doesn’t mean your eyes will dazzle and attract positive attention and focus. You can play it safe and wear taupes and creams, but if you want your eyes to really POP, you need to choose a shade that really complements your eyes and grabs attention.
For example, if you have blue eyes, the colors that will really add pizzazz are bronzes and gold shades. No, of course you wouldn’t wear these to the office! For regular day time wear you might want to tone it down a bit and choose anything with a yellowish undertone, like apricot and peach shades.
Green eyes really sparkle with all shades of purple, including burgundy and plums and mauves. A nice sparkly deep purple adds glamour to that special occasion!
Now, if you have hazel eyes you have more scope and can play with blues, khaki greens or lilac shades, plus silvers and pearly shades. Aren’t you the lucky one! Play around and see which shades look best with your skin tone and hair color.
And if you have brown eyes you will dazzle at night with bronzes, greens and bluey greens, and shimmery deep blues.
Grab a color wheel, find your eye color and then look at the colors that are opposite… Often the opposite color of your eyes on the color spectrum is what will make them stand out, but also a deeper version of your very own eye color will produce an amazing effect. For example, green eyes… you shouldn’t wear green eye shadow BUT a deeper and stronger shade of green can really be flattering. Likewise a deep, rich chocolate shade can work wonders for brown eyes, etc.
Don’t forget your eye liner, eyelash curler and good quality mascara… and you’re ready to shine!
