About Terrianne

Terrianne Lord Small has been involved with Pageantry for more than seven years.  She has presented seminars and workshops on Interview, Modeling, Make-Up, Design, Public Speaking, and Confidence Enhancement.  She has served as a judge, consultant and resource to pageant directors in various pageant systems across the country.  She has had the honor of helping many Teens, Pre-teens, Miss and Mrs. Contestants in their pursuit of the crown in local, state and national systems such as National American Miss, Miss Teen USA, Miss Teen/Miss/Mrs. International, Miss Teen/Mrs. Galaxy and America’s Miss Teen/Miss/Mrs.

No stranger to Pageantry, she captured the coveted title of America’s Mrs. Maryland 2010, Mrs. Maryland International 2007 (she placed 2nd Runner up at the National Competition in Chicago, Illinois), and Mrs. Trinidad and Tobago International 2003.

Terrianne has been featured as a guest judge on the MTV hit series MADE, a Fox 45 News segment on Body Language, starred in a local Baltimore Orioles Commercial, and served as a guest speaker on syndicated radio shows.

She received her B.B.A. in Computer Info Systems from Howard Univ.  She is also a licensed Esthetician, and a Certified Career and Entrepreneur Coach.  She holds certifications and training in Marketing and Appearance Counseling as well as Leadership Development.

An active member of her community, she has served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Spokesperson for the National Marrow Donor Program and 1-800-Volunteer.org.  She was a founding board member for Focused Care.org and is on the Board of Directors for the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce.  Her continuous dedication to her community did not go unrecognized, and in 2007 she was the recipient of the Prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award from President G. W. Bush for donating over 4000 service hours in her lifetime. She was also an Athena Award Nominee. The ATHENA Award® Program honors both women and men who have achieved excellence in their profession or life’s work, devoted time and effort in their communities to improve the quality of life for others, and actively helped women realize their full leadership potential.

She is the published author of the book, The Essence of Presence – A step by step action guide for unleashing the Power of Y-O-U!
